Hai Wei Guan was founded in 2015 and inherited the essence of local Shanghai cuisine while incorporating new flavors and cooking techniques, giving birth to a new category of Shanghai-style cuisine that continues to this day. The main logo of Haiweiguan incorporates the design of a traditional Shanghai-style building, symbolizing the revival of the city’s culture after six years. The word “Hui” in the logo has three meanings: first, it represents the gathering of exquisite and authentic local dishes at the restaurant; second, it signifies the fusion of culinary cultures from around the world by Haiweiguan’s head chef; and third, it represents the stylish and unique architecture of Shanghai that is shared by all.
