1. Step into the light at Singapore Oceanarium's Into the Glowcean

If you are choosing one experience to build the September school holidays around, make it Into the Glowcean. It begins on 5 September - the first day of the school break - and transforms Singapore Oceanarium into a glowing marine world filled with neon art, creative activities and family-friendly Halloween wonder.

• Neon Face-Painting: Pick a favourite marine animal and see it reimagined in glow-in-the-dark paint. Available from 5 to 13 September, 11am to 3pm, at Shark Seas, from S$15 as an add-on.
• Air Plant Sea Jelly Making: Make a 3D-printed, glow-in-the-dark sea jelly with an air plant to take home. Walk-in participation is limited to the first 20 guests each day from 5 to 13 September, 11am to 1pm, at Open Ocean.
• Animal Spotlight: Sea Jellies: Go behind the scenes to learn how sea jellies are cared for, with a school holiday craft activity included. English sessions are at 12pm and 3pm, while the Mandarin session is at 11.15am.

Best for: Families with young children, marine-life enthusiasts and anyone looking for an indoor daytime activity in Singapore.

2. Go trick-or-treating by day at Universal Studios Singapore

Halloween does not have to mean staying out late. Trick or Thrills brings playful daytime Halloween fun to Universal Studios Singapore from 1 September to 1 November 2026, with activities included in regular park admission.

At the centre of the celebration is The Belloween Ball, a new Lagoon show introducing Bride of Monster Bob alongside Monster Bob, Vampire Dave, Mummy Stuart and Evil Wolf Minion. Around the park, families can also meet Sanrio's Kuromi and Shrek's Fairy Godmother, together with returning favourites such as Shrek and Fiona, Cookie Monster, Count von Count, Gru's family and other Halloween characters.

Illumination's Minion Land becomes a giant pumpkin patch filled with Minion-themed jack-o'-lanterns, while candy giveaways and seasonal food add to the festivities throughout the day.

3. Follow Singapore's legends on a waterpark quest

Water slides are only part of the adventure at Legend Keepers: Tales of Singapore Awaken. Running daily from 1 September to 1 November 2026, 10am to 5pm, the experience is included with every Adventure Cove Waterpark One-Day Ticket.

Guided by Merli the Tide Guardian, families move through five locations inspired by local stories from Kusu Island, Bukit Merah, Sisters' Islands and beyond. Along the way, they solve puzzles, uncover clues and explore values such as kindness, courage and loyalty.

The app-guided format gives children a goal to follow between rides and water attractions, turning a regular waterpark visit into a playful introduction to Singapore folklore.

4. Stay late for Pool Party Panic

When evening arrives, Adventure Cove Waterpark shifts from daytime play to a lively after-dark mystery. Pool Party Panic begins with music and neon-lit poolside energy before turning into an immersive whodunit spread across the waterpark.

During the September school holidays, it is available on Evening Entry Saturdays, 5 and 12 September 2026, from 4pm to 8pm. Guests follow five crime scenes, solve puzzles and combine the clues to identify the culprit before the final reveal.

Selected rides and experiences - including Rainbow Reef, Pipeline Plunge and Riptide Rocket - remain open later on these evenings, subject to weather and operating conditions.

Best for: Older children, teens and adults who want a higher-energy evening experience. Families with very young children may prefer the daytime Legend Keepers quest.

5. Shop, dine and unlock Halloween rewards at WEAVE

A meal or shopping stop can come with an extra surprise during Festival of Thrills. From 1 September to 1 November 2026, WEAVE runs Halloween rewards and spend-and-redeem activities daily from 11am to 10pm.

For a different kind of school holiday night out, Hong Kong singer-songwriter Pakho Chau brings “The Blooming Chapter” Fan Meeting Concert to Singapore on Saturday, 5 September 2026 at 7.30pm.

The 120-minute show at Resorts World Ballroom, Resorts World Convention Centre, features a custom stage, well-loved songs and interactive fan segments. Tickets range from S$138 to S$268 and are available through the official ticketing platforms listed on the RWS events page.
