FAMILY TRAVEL · AUSTRALIA

Singapore with Kids: A Summer Holiday Guide for Australian Families at Resorts World Sentosa

Quick answer

For a Resorts World Sentosa family stay, we suggest four days and three nights: settle in, give Universal Studios Singapore a day, spend another at Singapore Oceanarium, then depart without rushing. Hotel Ora and Equarius Hotel list rooms for two adults and two children. For 2026/27, Season of Joy runs from 27 November 2026 to 3 January 2027. Check package inclusions before adding attraction tickets.

Plan a Resorts World Sentosa stay for your Australian summer holidays, with the right room, two attraction days, family meals and time to rest.

Start with the questions that will shape your holiday: where will everyone sleep, which tickets cover the children, and how much can you comfortably do between breakfast and bedtime? Resorts World Sentosa brings hotels, attractions and dining together on Sentosa Island, so you can build your stay around those decisions.

This guide focuses on families with children aged 4–12, with pointers for younger siblings and teenagers. The accommodation and attraction advice can help with future trips too; the Christmas experiences and current offers below have their own dates and booking conditions.

Seasonal information is accurate as of 5 November 2026. All suggested itinerary times are in Singapore local time. Programmes and schedules are subject to change. Check the official pages for the latest information.

Universal Studios Singapore - Hollywood

1. How many days should you spend in Singapore with kids?

Our suggested starting point is four days and three nights for a stay focused on Resorts World Sentosa. This gives Universal Studios Singapore its own day, leaves another for Singapore Oceanarium and pool time, and keeps arrival and departure from becoming attraction marathons.

If you want to explore more of Singapore as well, consider five days and four nights, or longer. Keep a day free for a city outing rather than squeezing it between two major attractions. You can stay on Sentosa throughout or arrange a separate city stay; allow for packing and transfers if you change hotels.

Should your family stay on Sentosa?

A Sentosa base makes particular sense when Universal Studios Singapore and Singapore Oceanarium are central to your plans. Being able to return to familiar surroundings after a busy day can be valuable when children need a quiet meal, a change of clothes or an early night.

Hotel Ora is worth comparing if you favour proximity to the attractions. Equarius Hotel offers more space in its entry-level room and a rainforest setting. Both are part of RWS; their locations and transport arrangements create different daily routines. Compare the two family room options below.

Planning tip: Decide how many complete days you have after accounting for your flights. A three-day, two-night package gives you two hotel nights; it does not automatically give you three full sightseeing days.

2. Choose your Australian summer travel dates

Use your children’s school calendar as the starting point, then check the exact dates of anything you especially want to see. If you are travelling with cousins or friends, agree on a shared travel window before comparing room and flight options.

For the 2026/27 summer holidays

Season of Joy runs from 27 November 2026 to 3 January 2027. It brings Christmas experiences and a K-culture influence to Resorts World Sentosa, including A Universal Christmas at Universal Studios Singapore and Glowcean Wonderland at Singapore Oceanarium.

The overall campaign dates are a useful starting point. Individual shows, Santa appearances, menus and ticket offers may have shorter runs. If Christmas activities are a deciding factor, check your intended visit day against the current Season of Joy programme.

Visiting after 3 January 2027?

You can still use this guide’s room comparisons and suggested daily rhythm. Plan around the attractions and dining available for your dates, with their current operating calendars. The 2026/27 Christmas programme ends on 3 January; festive shows, gifts and menus should not be part of a later-January booking unless separately announced.

Check hotel-offer validity separately too. Being featured on the Season of Joy page does not mean every package has the same booking deadline or stay period.

3. Where can a family of four stay at Resorts World Sentosa?

Hotel-Ora---Deluxe-Pool-View

Hotel Ora and Equarius Hotel both list Deluxe Rooms for two adults and two children, or three adults. For a family of four, compare the actual beds and the room layout alongside that occupancy limit.

On a phone? Swipe across the table to see all columns.

Hotel Ora and Equarius Hotel: compare the Deluxe Rooms
Room detail Hotel Ora Equarius Hotel
Size 32 sqm 51 sqm
Listed beds One king bed or two single beds One king bed or two super-single beds
Listed occupancy Two adults and two children, or three adults Two adults and two children, or three adults
Room features to consider A contemporary room; compare the available bed setup for your family. A balcony, a large settee, a bathtub and a separate rain shower.
Our planning take Worth considering when your days revolve around the attractions and frequent outings. Worth considering when extra room space and a quieter setting matter to your family.
Check the room Hotel Ora Deluxe Room Equarius Hotel Deluxe Room

Work out who will sleep where

A four-person occupancy does not establish four separate sleeping places. Before choosing a rate, decide whether the children are happy sharing existing bedding, whether you need twin beds, and who will use any extra bed. Ask the hotel to confirm the arrangement for your children’s ages.

The Family Stay Package includes one extra bed per stay. It is useful when comparing family costs, but it is still one extra bed: check how the remaining beds will accommodate your group. An extra bed also uses floor space, which may affect your choice between the two Deluxe Rooms.

For naps or an early bedtime, think beyond room size. If one child needs darkness and quiet while another is awake, ask about a room category with a suitable layout or confirmed connecting rooms. Connecting rooms are a request subject to availability; have the arrangement confirmed if it is essential to your booking.

Travelling with three children, grandparents or a teenager?

Enter every guest and each child’s age when checking availability. A room listed for two adults and two children will not automatically fit two adults and three children. For a larger party, use the RWS hotels guide to compare additional rooms and accommodation with more bedrooms.

For a child aged 13 or above, check both the hotel’s occupancy rules and the attraction’s ticket category. The ages used for a hotel package, a restaurant’s children’s menu and an attraction ticket can differ.

4. What does the Family Stay Package include?

season-of-joy-2026

The Family Stay Package is currently listed for a three-day, two-night Deluxe Room stay at Hotel Ora or Equarius Hotel. Its published inclusions are:

  • Breakfast covering two adults and two children.
  • An additional bed for the stay.
  • An RWS Gift Voucher worth S$200, issued per stay.
  • Hotel parking at no extra charge.
  • Included minibar refreshments, replenished each day.

Attraction admission is not listed among this package’s inclusions. Add the tickets your family needs when comparing it with an attraction-inclusive stay. Check the rate’s eligible dates and the hotel’s definition of a child before paying; the published package terms cover up to two adults and two children. Package inclusions are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged; review the room rate’s cancellation terms as well.

How does it compare with the Season of Joy hotel bundle?

On a phone? Swipe across the table to see all columns.

Two different ways to plan a stay at Hotel Ora or Equarius Hotel
Current option What stands out What a family needs to add or confirm
Family Stay Package Two hotel nights, breakfast for two adults and two children, an extra bed and an S$200 RWS Gift Voucher per stay. Attraction admission; the agreed sleeping arrangement; any extra nights.
3D2N Season of Joy Hotel Bundle A minimum two-night Deluxe Room stay, breakfast for two, and two adult one-day tickets to each of Universal Studios Singapore and Singapore Oceanarium. The published rate covers up to two people. Obtain a quote for the whole family, including children’s admission, breakfast and any bedding supplements.

For the attraction-inclusive Season of Joy bundle, the included tickets are valid for seven consecutive days from issuance. Check that window against your actual stay. Compare the live bundle details and terms for your dates.

How can you use the S$200 voucher?

Plan a use for it before treating the full amount as a saving. The RWS Gift Voucher page lists participating attractions, hotels, shops and food outlets. These include Asian Food Hall, Moutarde and Sundae Royale, as well as selected dining outlets inside the attractions.

The published voucher terms exclude use with other promotions and promotional items, and the voucher cannot be exchanged for cash. Check the voucher issued with your package for its validity and redemption conditions. If you intend to use it towards tickets, establish the eligible purchase channel before buying tickets online.

For a longer stay: Our four-day itinerary uses three hotel nights. The Family Stay Package supplies two. Ask for a total that includes the additional night, and confirm which benefits apply to that night.

5. Getting from Changi Airport to your Resorts World Sentosa hotel

Choose your transfer around the children, the luggage and the flight’s arrival time. RWS lists both taxi or ride-hailing access and pre-arranged private airport transfers. For an arrival with tired children and several bags, a direct journey to your hotel lobby is our practical suggestion.

Book enough space for people and bags

Vehicle passenger capacity and luggage capacity can be very different. For example, the RWS transfer page lists a Toyota Alphard for six passengers, or three with luggage. Describe your full party, suitcase count, pram and any required child restraints when asking for a vehicle.

For private transfer enquiries, contact hotels@rwsentosa.com. Check the Getting Here page for the current vehicles, prices and surcharges. Hotel Ora and Equarius Hotel each have a lobby drop-off point; hotel guests can show their booking confirmation or room key for complimentary Sentosa island entry.

What if you arrive before the room is ready?

Both hotels list check-in from 3pm and check-out by 11am. Early check-in and late check-out depend on availability and may cost extra. An early flight arrival is a reason to plan a gentle first day.

Before departure from Australia, ask about luggage storage and the arrangements available while you wait. If immediate room access after an overnight flight is essential, arrange it with the hotel in advance. Keep a small arrival bag with the children’s essentials separate from the main suitcases.

Do you need a hire car?

For a stay based around RWS, we suggest comparing a car-free plan first. The resort has a complimentary hotel shuttle, and registered hotel guests receive a Sentosa Express QR code at check-in for eligible monorail travel. Check the current shuttle route and last departure with the concierge.

For a city outing, the published public-transport route runs via Resorts World Station, the Sentosa Express, VivoCity and HarbourFront MRT. Allow for the walk between connections and your family’s pace. Use the resort guide to plan the return, particularly after an evening out.

6. How to plan Universal Studios Singapore with kids

RWS-USS-Far-Far-Away-Happily-Ever-After

Give Universal Studios Singapore a dedicated day in your itinerary. Start by measuring the children and choosing a small set of rides, characters and shows they are excited about. A child who meets a height requirement may still prefer to skip spinning, darkness or sudden movement.

Universal Studios Singapore combines rides and entertainment across themed zones. Illumination’s Minion Land is one option for families who want familiar characters alongside different ride styles.

Which rides can your children try?

Use this selection to begin your shortlist, then read the full attraction guidance. A minimum height is only one part of eligibility: restraints, supervision and other boarding requirements also apply.

On a phone? Swipe across the table to see all columns.

Selected rides: height requirements and what to consider
Ride Published height rule Supervision What parents should consider
Buggie Boogie No minimum height listed. A supervising companion is required for children under 122cm. A sheltered, seated spinning carousel with music. Consider your child’s comfort with circular motion.
Silly Swirly At least 92cm. A supervising companion is required for children between 92cm and 122cm. An outdoor ride that rises and spins. Hand-held infants are not permitted.
Despicable Me Minion Mayhem At least 102cm for moving seats; guests below 102cm use stationary seating. A supervising companion is required for children between 102cm and 122cm. An indoor motion simulation. The moving experience may not suit children who dislike simulated movement.
Sesame Street Spaghetti Space Chase 110cm–205cm. A supervising companion is required for children between 110cm and 122cm. Check the current height rule even if you have visited previously.
Enchanted Airways 92cm–205cm. A supervising companion is required for children between 92cm and 122cm. An outdoor junior roller coaster. Choose it for a child who wants a coaster experience; hand-held infants are not permitted.

Review the current Safety and Accessibility guide and follow the crew’s boarding instructions on the day.

Build the day around a few priorities

Let each child choose a highlight. Use the official USS app for current waits, show times and character appearances, then group nearby activities together. Check the temporary closures page before settling on a must-do ride.

Plan lunch before everyone is overtired or hungry. After lunch, choose a show, a seated break or another activity that suits the children’s energy. During the festive season, a Christmas performance can be the day’s shared highlight even if siblings choose different rides.

Can you leave for a hotel rest and return?

Hotel Ora and Equarius Hotel publish a hotel-guest same-day re-entry benefit requiring a valid attraction ticket, hotel key card and a re-entry stamp obtained before leaving. However, standard USS ticket terms and the Season of Joy 2-Park Pass state that USS admission does not permit re-entry.

Before choosing tickets for a day with a hotel break, ask the concierge to confirm that your exact ticket qualifies. Until that is confirmed, schedule your midday rest inside the park. Priority admission into the park and Universal Express access to participating ride queues are separate benefits.

Useful facilities for younger siblings

The USS guest services guide lists pram rentals on a first-come basis, plus a Baby Center by Guest Services on the left after entry. The Baby Center has private nursing rooms, changing beds, feeding chairs and a hot-water dispenser. These details are worth saving before your visit.

RWS-USS-Far-Far-Away-Enchanted-Airway

7. Plan a slower day at Singapore Oceanarium

At the surface

We suggest setting aside half a day for Singapore Oceanarium, with extra time for food and breaks. It makes a different kind of outing after a theme-park day: children can linger at a habitat, compare the animals they notice and ask questions at their own pace.

Singapore Oceanarium presents a journey through the ocean’s past, present and future. The family Oceanarium guide also highlights the Open Ocean Habitat and the chance to discover animals such as manta rays and giant groupers.

Give the children a simple mission

Try asking each child to find an animal they have never seen before, choose a favourite habitat, or explain one thing they learnt over lunch. For siblings of different ages, the younger child can spot colours and shapes while the older child reads more of the interpretation. There is no need to turn every display into a lesson.

Check your entry time before planning the rest of the day

Timed entry is required during peak periods. Follow the entry window shown on your own ticket. Arrange lunch, transport and any scheduled presentation around that booking rather than assuming you can arrive at any time.

For our suggested itinerary, allow roughly three to four hours as a planning estimate, then adjust for your children’s interests. If you want a particular Christmas presentation, choose an entry time that leaves room to reach it without rushing.

The Oceanarium is also an indoor option to consider when planning around weather. Choose the attraction date before purchasing dated tickets; check the ticket’s change conditions before attempting a last-minute swap.

8. Add Season of Joy to your 2026/27 family holiday

For visits from 27 November 2026 to 3 January 2027, add festive moments to the attraction days you already planned. Choose one or two experiences the children would enjoy, and leave space to stop when they have had enough.

A Universal Christmas: characters, music and snowfall moments

At Universal Studios Singapore, Dazzling Dessert Studios brings oversized sweets and a 10-metre Confectionery Christmas tree to Hollywood Boulevard. The announced programme includes Santa and Mrs Claus, plus special appearances by Hello Kitty and Kuromi at Superstar Boutique.

In New York, the Universal Jingle Jam features Poppy from DreamWorks Animation’s Trolls, Sesame Street friends and Illumination’s Minions in a festive musical show. Check the day’s schedule for performances, snowfall moments and meet-and-greets. Build your visit around the children’s favourite appearance, leaving the rest of the plan flexible.

Glowcean Wonderland: a trail with a purpose

At Singapore Oceanarium, children can follow Manja the Manta Ray’s Glowcean Journey, finding clues and collecting stamps among marine-inspired Christmas displays. The trail leads to the Heart of the Glowcean. It gives younger explorers a simple activity to follow as they discover the habitats.

The published schedule lists an Underwater Christmas Presentation at 3.30pm daily from 27 November to 31 December 2026. This has a shorter run than the overall campaign, so it is not a scheduled highlight for a January visit. Check the official Season of Joy guide for the current programme and any updates.

A separate seasonal child-ticket offer

The Oceanarium’s Child Ticket with Sweet Treat includes admission for a child aged 4–12 and a Sea Animal Cupcake or Croffle from Tide Deli, while available. Purchase an eligible dated child ticket online at least one day ahead.

The published purchase window is 31 October 2026–2 January 2027, for visits 1 November 2026–3 January 2027. This offer starts before Glowcean Wonderland. Check the offer’s terms; a child’s admission through another bundle should be checked separately for eligibility.

WEAVE: a festive stop outside the attraction days

There will be Christmas installations, family entertainment and Santa meet-and-greets at WEAVE, including an eight-metre Christmas tree and the Colours of our Wishes installation. The public resort spaces and WEAVE can be explored without a theme-park ticket.

Use this as a flexible after-dinner stroll or an arrival-day outing. If meeting Santa is the reason for your visit, confirm his dates and appearance times first. A short stop with happy children can be more enjoyable than waiting for an evening activity they are too tired to appreciate.

Check the full Season of Joy programme and current offers.

9. Where to eat with children at Resorts World Sentosa

Resort_World_Sentosa_Sundae_Royale

Plan a mix of convenient meals, one sit-down meal and a treat stop. A children’s menu, an early dinner booking and a venue near the day’s activities can matter more than trying somewhere different for every meal.

On a phone? Swipe across the table to see all columns.

Dining options to fit around your family’s day
Where What it offers How to use it in your plan
Loma, Hotel Ora A breakfast buffet with local and international choices; breakfast runs 7am–11am, with last seating at 10.30am. Keep breakfast nearby before a park day. A manta mascot makes a scheduled breakfast appearance; confirm the time if it matters to your children.
Tangerine, Equarius Hotel A semi-buffet breakfast; the RWS hotels guide lists 7am–11am, with last orders at 10.30am. Begin the day at the hotel, then head to the attractions. Check your package’s breakfast entitlement for each guest.
Asian Food Hall, WEAVE Multiple Asian food choices in one food hall, on Level 2. A useful option when family members want different dishes. Check the menu and serving hours for your chosen stall.
Moutarde, WEAVE A casual French restaurant focused on carving and sharing, with a published children’s menu. Consider it for a sit-down family meal on the Oceanarium day or a quieter evening.
Sundae Royale, WEAVE Freshly made soft-serve ice cream and sorbets. A short dessert stop after a meal or during a relaxed resort afternoon.

What can children eat at Moutarde?

The children’s menu is for guests aged 14 and below. Main-course options include penne with butter or tomato sauce, roasted chicken with fries, and potato gnocchi. The listed S$38++ children’s set combines a main course, dessert and drink. Check the latest menu and prices when reserving.

That age limit differs from the 4–12 child-ticket category at USS and Singapore Oceanarium. Check each venue’s own rules when budgeting for an older child.

Make one meal a festive occasion

For Season of Joy 2026, Pierre Hermé Paris has announced a Circus Collection spanning macarons, chocolates, cakes and gifts, including seasonal panettone and festive cakes. A small sweet purchase can be an easier addition to a family day than a long celebratory meal.

During the festive programme, the RWS guide also lists Korean-inspired snacks such as Army Stew Quesadillas and Purple Taro Popcorn at Oceanarium dining outlets. Check the day’s choices and ingredients before ordering for children.

Current venue update: Pierre Hermé will close its store from 26 October until further notice. Guests can visit the temporary pop-up at Resorts World Convention Centre’s B1 East Entrance. Confirm the operating location and festive-product availability before planning a visit or collection.

Dietary needs, food rules and the final bill

For allergies, gluten-free requirements, vegetarian meals or a child who needs simple food, contact the restaurant before making a reservation. Confirm suitable dishes and preparation arrangements with the team; menu descriptions alone may not answer every question.

Published attraction terms restrict outside food and drinks. If your child needs infant food or food for a dietary requirement, ask the attraction about the applicable arrangements before visiting. Plan meals at permitted outlets and check any specific conditions on your ticket.

Prices marked ++ have service charge and prevailing GST added. Hotel Ora and Equarius Hotel list a 10% dining benefit at selected restaurants, including Moutarde and Sundae Royale, when you present your hotel key card. Check exclusions before ordering, especially if you also hope to use the package’s gift voucher.

Resort_World_Sentosa_Moutarde

10. A realistic four-day Singapore itinerary with kids

Use three nights at RWS as a comfortable starting point for two attraction days. The sequence below is our suggested plan. Adjust it to your flights, confirmed opening hours and ticket entry times.

On a phone? Swipe across the table to see all columns.

Four days and three nights: a stay centred on Resorts World Sentosa
Day Morning or arrival Afternoon Evening
Day 1: settle in Arrive, travel to the hotel and have a simple meal. Keep plans flexible if you land before check-in. Check in from 3pm, unpack and rest. Add a swim only if the children have the energy. Eat near your hotel. For a visit during Season of Joy, take a short WEAVE stroll if it suits everyone.
Day 2: Universal Studios Singapore Have breakfast and reach the park for its confirmed opening. Begin with a few shortlisted rides or characters. Take a proper lunch and a seated break. Use the app to choose the next activity. Return to the hotel only if your ticket’s re-entry is confirmed. Add a festive show if available and the children are still comfortable. Otherwise, finish with dinner and an early night.
Day 3: Singapore Oceanarium Have a slower breakfast. Leave room for the pool or quiet time before the booked Oceanarium entry. Allow approximately three to four hours for exploration. During Glowcean Wonderland, include the trail and, if your date and timing fit, the 3.30pm Christmas presentation. Book a relaxed family dinner, or use Asian Food Hall for different appetites. Keep dessert optional.
Day 4: an easy departure Have breakfast, pack and check out by 11am unless you have agreed otherwise. Use the time available before your confirmed airport transfer. Ask about luggage storage if needed. Continue your journey, with an airport buffer planned around your flight.

An example rhythm for the Oceanarium day

A family wanting the December 3.30pm presentation might plan a late breakfast, lunch before entry, an early-afternoon admission slot and then the presentation during the visit. Leave enough time to reach Open Ocean. For a family that prefers to finish earlier, book an earlier entry and make the presentation optional.

Only have three days and two nights?

Keep Day 1 for arrival and Day 2 for your main attraction. An Oceanarium visit on Day 3 works only if your flight, entry slot and airport transfer leave a generous uninterrupted window after check-out. You also need a confirmed luggage plan.

If that window is too short, choose one major attraction or extend your stay. Trying to fit a full USS visit and an unhurried Oceanarium visit around a late arrival and an early departure will make the holiday feel rushed.

Have five days and four nights?

Insert a flexible day before departure. Explore more of Singapore via the Sentosa Express and HarbourFront connection, spend longer around Sentosa, or simply keep a pool afternoon. Choose one main outing and give the children a say. Include the additional hotel nights in your booking total.

11. Compare tickets and the full family budget

Compare totals for your actual family and travel dates in Singapore dollars. Keep the quote in S$ or SGD first, then convert the full amount to Australian dollars using the rate and fees that apply to your payment method.

USS lists child tickets for ages 4–12 and adult tickets from age 13. Singapore Oceanarium also lists the child category as 4–12. Check the applicable admission arrangements for younger siblings and the price for each guest before adding any Express benefit or other extra.

Resort_World_Sentosa_Season_Of_Joy_Festive_Fun_Pass

Would a Season of Joy 2-Park Pass suit your family?

The Season of Joy ticket section includes a 2-Park Pass with Festive Perks: one one-day ticket each to USS and Singapore Oceanarium, to be used within seven days of the selected start date. You can give the attractions separate days within that window.

The festive version adds priority entry, Express access once at one participating ride, selected show benefits and reserved viewing for the Universal Jingle Jam and eligible fireworks nights. One ride’s Express access does not cover every ride. The pass states that USS re-entry is not permitted.

Fireworks are on selected nights. If they are a deciding factor, check the published date list before choosing your USS day and confirm the show schedule. For other visits, compare the current standard tickets and any available passes.

Should you buy Universal Express?

First identify which participating rides your children can and want to experience. The Universal Express page currently distinguishes an option with one use at participating rides and shows from Universal Express 3, with one use at any three participating rides and shows.

Express is an additional, dated product and requires separate park admission. Check exclusions and price the benefit for the people who will use it. It may be less relevant to a child whose main interests are character meetings and a few selected activities.

On a phone? Swipe across the table to see all columns.

Build your family total before comparing offers
Budget item What to include
Hotel Every night, all guests, taxes and charges, agreed beds, and any supplements.
Breakfast Which adults and children are covered, on which mornings; add any uncovered meals.
Attraction entry A ticket for every guest who needs one at each attraction, less only the tickets actually included in your rate.
Optional extras Express passes, separately ticketed experiences, pram rental and other extras you choose.
Meals and treats Lunches, dinners, drinks and snacks; account for service charge and 9 percent GST where indicated.
Transport Airport transfers sized for your family and bags, plus any journeys outside the resort.
Voucher value Count only eligible spending you expect to make within the voucher’s validity. Confirm any promotional exclusions.

The fairest comparison uses the same nights, family size and attraction plans. A package with two adult attraction tickets may need children’s tickets and breakfasts added; a family package may cover those breakfasts while requiring all attraction tickets separately.

12. Pack for the weather and the children you are travelling with

Singapore’s weather is hot and humid. Pack lightweight clothes, comfortable shoes, hats and sun protection, plus what your family needs for the pool. A small rain layer and a spare set of children’s clothes can make changes of plan easier.

Keep the daily bag manageable

  • Booking essentials: accessible ticket QR codes, hotel confirmation and your transfer details.
  • For walking: comfortable shoes, hats and the children’s usual outdoor essentials.
  • For breaks: any comfort item your child needs and a quiet activity for waiting or restaurant time.
  • For the pool: swimwear and a dry change of clothes, kept separate from attraction-day items.
  • For your phone: suitable charging equipment and enough battery for tickets, maps and the USS app.

Plan rain alternatives before buying dated tickets

Outdoor attractions can be affected by weather. The Oceanarium is an indoor option, and the resort also has dining and shopping for a quieter break. Keep flexibility in the itinerary where your bookings allow it; check change conditions before moving an attraction to another day.

With toddlers, teenagers or different confidence levels

For toddlers: plan around sleep and feeding first. Ask about a cot, pram access and any required admission arrangements before booking. At USS, save the Baby Center location and check the boarding rules for every ride you are considering.

For teenagers: budget with the correct ticket category, ask what they most want to do, and check the sleeping arrangement if your hotel quote uses a child category. An older child may qualify for a restaurant’s children’s menu while needing an adult attraction ticket.

For siblings with different preferences: agree on a meeting point and a shared activity. Where there are two accompanying adults, consider whether each can spend a little time on a different child’s priority, while keeping supervision practical.

If your child is sensitive to noise, darkness, motion or crowds, read the attraction descriptions and accessibility information before building the shortlist. Ask the team about suitable arrangements for your child’s needs.

13. Singapore family holiday: frequently asked questions

Is Sentosa a practical base for a Singapore holiday with kids?

It is worth considering when RWS attractions are a major part of your trip. Hotel Ora and Equarius Hotel let you base the stay within the resort, with transport connections for a city outing. Leave enough days for the Singapore experiences outside your attraction plans.

Can two adults and two children share a room?

Both hotels list that occupancy in their Deluxe Rooms. Confirm the beds for your children’s ages. An occupancy limit does not guarantee a separate bed for every guest.

Does the Family Stay Package include USS and Singapore Oceanarium?

Attraction admission is not listed among its published inclusions. Price the required tickets separately, then compare the whole-family total with the attraction-inclusive hotel offers.

Can we visit USS and Singapore Oceanarium on the same day?

For this family itinerary, we recommend separate days so you can include meals, breaks and the children’s preferred activities. If you choose a pass covering both attractions, check its validity window; it may allow the visits on different days.

Can we leave USS for a nap and come back?

Confirm eligibility for your exact ticket with the hotel concierge before planning this. The hotels publish a guest re-entry benefit, while standard USS tickets and the Season of Joy 2-Park Pass state no re-entry. Keep a rest inside the park in your plan until confirmed.

Is Season of Joy available throughout January?

No. The announced 2026/27 programme ends on 3 January 2027, and some experiences finish earlier. Plan later-January trips around the current attraction calendars and offers.

Should we book attraction tickets before flying from Australia?

Our recommendation is to confirm your stay and attraction days, then book the correct tickets for every family member. Check date, time-slot, cancellation and re-entry conditions before paying. Some promotional offers require advance purchase.

14. Before you book your family holiday

  1. Match the dates: check your school calendar, flights and the individual festive experiences you want.
  2. Confirm the room: include every guest, agree on the beds and have any essential connecting-room arrangement confirmed.
  3. Compare full totals: add all nights, children’s admission, uncovered breakfasts, transport and selected extras.
  4. Keep the itinerary comfortable: allow one main attraction per day, meals and a realistic arrival and departure buffer.
  5. Check the conditions: entry times, re-entry, voucher eligibility and cancellation rules should fit the way your family wants to travel.

Once those details work for your family, start with the Family Stay Package and compare it with the current Season of Joy hotel and attraction offers. Choose the arrangement that gives you the right beds, the experiences your children want and enough time to enjoy them.

Planning a later visit? The seasonal experiences and offers in this guide relate to the dates shown. Check current hotel availability, attraction calendars, menus and booking terms for your own trip before confirming.
