Sustainability Awards for Attractions
We set the standard for sustainable attractions with our green certifications.
We make your play sustainable

Sustainable Building Materials
We used low carbon footprint building materials to construct Illumination’s Minion Land. Up to 80% of our building and landscape products used were highly rated for being environmentally friendly under the Singapore Green Building Product (SGBP) Certification Scheme.

Water Conservation
The Universal Studios Singapore Lagoon acts as a rainwater catchment. The collected rainwater is used to irrigate our resort landscapes, thus saving water.

Solar Panels
With new solar panels installed Illumination’s Minion Land, we now have over 1,500 solar panels at Universal Studios Singapore! We plan to install more solar panels at the upcoming Singapore Oceanarium and Research and Learning Centre.

Centralised Cooling System
Our attractions’ cooling demand is met by our centralised District Cooling Plant (DCP), creating a balance between guest comfort and energy savings.

ETFE Roofs
Look up and spot our ETFE roofs throughout Universal Studios Singapore! These innovative structures keep you cool by blocking up to 80% of heat radiation, all while reducing cooling energy needs.
