Children for Children
An annual initiative to celebrate Children’s Day, this event brings needy primary school students across Singapore to an attraction within RWS in partnership with The Business Times, The Rice Company Pte Ltd and CHIJ (Kellock).
It was a mass Children’s Day celebration at RWS where more than 1,200 pupils from over 50 primary schools stepped into Universal Studios Singapore® for the first time. RWS, together with 100 RWS volunteers played host to the event while students of CHIJ (Kellock) put up theatre-dance performances to entertain the students. About 100 of our RWS Volunteers lend their hands to the event which also raised $320,000, with proceeds going to The Straits Times School Pocket Money Fund and The Business Times Budding Artists fund.
More than 1,200 children were invited to celebrate Children’s Day at Universal Studios Singapore®. The children were warmly welcomed with interactive arts and craft activities before being ushered into the Pantages Hollywood theatre for a song-and-dance performance. Thereafter, the children were accompanied by our aRWSome volunteers for a day of fun, indulging in all the rides and thrill offered by the park.
