Audition Know-How

You dare have questions for the captain? Go ahead… for they say, fortune favours the brave.

Preparing for the audition:

  • Submit your application and audition video before the deadline
  • Make sure you read all the audition information carefully
  • Do some research on Asian or South East Asian Pirates, with focus on Pirates in the 18th – early 20th century
  • Ensure that the audio for your recording is clear
  • Check that your video link works

Audition Video:
Your Audition Videos must comprise of 2 parts:

  1. Part 1 - Self-Intro:
    • Introduce yourself in 30-seconds or less. 
    • This can be done in English (compulsory) and any other languages (optional).

  2. Part 2 - Performance video: 1 minute video of either
    • An upbeat monologue OR
    • Improvisation of a Pirate Character (must be an Asian/South East Asian-inspired Pirate)
    • Include any special skills you may have (example: juggling, opera singing, pop-n-lock/animated, dance, street magic, etc)
    • This can be done in English (compulsory) and any other languages (optional).
