
Chef’s Recipe | Fruity Banana Pancakes
If you’ve been craving for some fluffy pancakes, this recipe by Chef Danny from Osia Steak & Seafood Grill will come in handy - it features bananas (rich in potassium!) for a wholesome breakfast item that the whole family will love.
Ingredients for pancakes
- Banana 2
- Fresh milk 100ml
- Fresh eggs 1 for each pancake
- Plain flour 120g
- Baking powder 5g
- Sugar 8g
- Salt 3g
- Butter 8g
Ingredients for garnishing
- Banana* x1
- Strawberry* x2
- Maple syrup 6ml
- Pistachio nuts 5g
*Alternatively, substitute with your choice of fruit
Steps
- Mash banana with fork until mushy
- Break egg into mixing bowl, add sugar and salt, then whisk well
- Add banana and milk into mixing bowl and whisk well
- Add baking powder into mixing bowl and whisk well
- Add flour into mixing bowl and whisk well till bubbles form
- Set pan to medium heat, and brush melted butter
- Pour the mixture with your preferred pancake size and fry for 2-3mins
- Fry both sides until golden-brown and transfer to plate
- Garnish with your desired toppings, and it’s done!
