Ingredients for the cake:

  • All-purpose flour 130g
  • Milo powder 130g
  • Baking powder 12g
  • Sugar 60g
  • Salt 3g
  • Evaporated milk 230g
  • Melted butter 50g
  • Egg 50g (approximately one egg)

Directions

  • Combine all the dry ingredients (all-purpose flour, Milo powder, baking powder, sugar, and salt) in a mixing bowl.
  • Next, create a well in the middle and pour in the evaporated milk, melted butter, egg, and vanilla extract. Mix the mixture evenly.
  • Once you’re done, brush some butter onto the baking pan – this will prevent the cake from sticking to the sides. Pour in the cake mixture and bake for 30 minutes at 150 °C.
  • Once the cake is done, set aside and let it rest for 15mins before tucking into it.
  • If you’re keen to include the frosting, slice the cake horizontally into two once it has cooled down.
