Born in Guangzhou, Chef Yip first fell in love with Cantonese cuisine while helping out in his uncle’s eatery. At the age of 15, Chef Yip moved to Hong Kong, where his career took off. His accomplishments in the gourmet paradise include professional certification by the prestigious Chinese Cuisine Training Institute; a successful stint in the esteemed Lei Garden Group (known as the “Shaolin” of Cantonese cuisine), where he learned from culinary legend Mr Chan Shu Kit.
It takes the best talent to maintain the standards of a renowned culinary institution like Feng Shui Inn. This is why we have brought in Hong Kong master Chef Yip Cheung Shui as our new Chef de Cuisine. With over a decade of experience in pleasing Hong Kong’s famously demanding palates, Chef Yip has earned a stellar reputation for his artistry.
Here, he will also uphold the highest standards as he prepares a healthy take on Cantonese cuisine, inspired by Singapore’s belief in the healing principles of Chinese food therapy.
