Marine Conservation
Taking conservation seriously
Resorts World Sentosa is committed to marine conservation and provides sponsorship for researchers, NGOs and kids to conduct marine conservation projects around the world.
Here are some of Resorts World's marine conservation efforts:
 
RWS Coral Conservation
In keeping with our blue footprint, in July 2007, Resorts World Sentosa engaged marine biologists from appointed consultancy firm, DHI Water & Environment Singapore, to relocate corals and other marine life around the Sentosa northern coastline affected by reclamation works to the Southern Islands.

After a year in their new homes, we are proud to share that the relocated corals are thriving beautifully.

Shark Fin Policy
As part of RWS' commitment to marine conservation and research, shark fin will not be on the menu at any RWS owned restaurant in the resort. Instead, alternatives to this traditional Asian delicacy will be offered.

We have joined hands with conservationists from WildAid and ACRES to roll out long-term public education programmes. Efforts such as the RWS Marine Life Fund, launched in May 2008, are part of our pledge to making a difference in the conservation of sharks and other marine life.
