RWS Marine Life Fund

Whether you’re a scientist, university researcher or non-governmental organization (NGO) involved in marine-life related research, education and conservation projects, the RWS Marine Life Fund can help you.

And if you’re a student between 10 to 18 years old and would like funding for your school project that advances this cause, we have set aside something for you too.

How much funding can I apply for?

There is no minimum amount or cap for applications. However, for funding of S$20,000 and above, more details of your proposed project would be required. Applications will be reviewed based on individual merit.

How do I apply?

All applications must be on a RWS Marine Life Fund application form. If you are shortlisted, the next steps are:

(a)   An interview with the Marine Life Fund co-ordinator. This could be done via telephone, email or a meeting, as required by RWS.
(b)   A RWS internal assessment.

For funding of S$20,000 and above, the additional steps are:

(c)   Filling in of a Project Proposal Form. This form will be provided to shortlisted applicants. Data required include a breakdown of the budget, the CVs of relevant researchers/personnel, relevant publications and supporting documents.
(d)   External review – conducted by at least one independent external reviewer, to be identified by RWS.

If you have any queries about the fund, please contact us here. Applications are usually considered within a month after we receive your proposal. We regret that only shortlisted applicants will be contacted.
